Bratwurst in a bun with juicy cabbage topping
Bratwurst in a bun, but with a twist! Sauerkraut, marinated red cabbage and crispy wasabi nuts bring real power to the snack classic!

300 g Sauerkraut
4-5 tbsp White wine vinegar
2 tsp Sugar
Sweet paprika
Salt, pepper
300 g Red cabbage
Juice of 1⁄2 lime
1 Mini romaine lettuce
2 tbsp Oil
6 Bratwurst (approx. 100 g each; e.g. venison sausages)
6 Baguette rolls (approx. 75 g each)
6 tbsp Mustard (Tube)
4 tsp Wasabi nuts

FOR THE SAUERKRAUT Place the sauerkraut in a sieve, rinse and drain. Bring vinegar and 1 tsp sugar to the boil, add the sauerkraut and stir in. Season the sauerkraut with sweet paprika, salt and pepper. Set the cabbage aside.

FOR THE RED CABBAGE Wash the red cabbage and slice it off the stalk in fine strips. Knead with lime juice, 1 tsp sugar and salt. Wash the romaine lettuce and cut into fine strips.

FOR THE SAUSAGES, HEAT 1 tablespoon of oil in a grill pan. Fry the sausages in it for about 8 minutes on all sides. Cut the rolls deeply lengthwise. Fill with sauerkraut, sausages, marinated red cabbage and romaine lettuce. Place mustard on top. Roughly chop the nuts and spread over the rolls.
