Honey Bacon Carrots
Bacon is not only good for breakfast eggs, but also for oven carrots, which we nibble on at sunset
Ingredients
For 6 Persons
2 bunches Carrots
approx. 15 slices Bacon
3 stems Thyme
3-4 tsp liquid honey
Sea salt
Preparation
1 Preheat the oven (electric stove: 200 °C/convection: 180 °C/gas: see manufacturer). Line a baking tray with baking paper. Shorten the carrot greens to 1–2 cm. Clean, peel, wash the carrots and cut them in half or quarters lengthwise, depending on their size. Wrap 4–5 carrot pieces with 1 slice of bacon and place them on the tray.
2 Wash the thyme, shake dry and pluck smaller. Drizzle the carrot packets with honey. Sprinkle with thyme and sea salt. Bake in the hot oven for about 12 minutes.
